Today is the last day, i thought it rather nice that it’s been 40 days, bit like lent but nothing to give up. Although for Lent i give up travelling economy and on the flip side means i need to earn money to do the other!
Anyway today was eventful, a lie in, due to the clocks changing, pretty good getting two lie ins this year rather than one and an early start. Last night when dropping the car back my eyes clearly deceived me and i managed to miss a bloody obvious bag lying in the boot. Luckily we got it back this morning and made a journey of it via the supermarket to buy potatoes. We also went via a cycle jersey shop selling jerseys rather cheaply, i resisted and thought i have enough!
Lunch was a lovely roast, with veg, boys loved it and it was the last formal meal we will eat in oz. Played all afternoon with William on either his skateboard (which he fell off, and cut himself, promptly followed by me) or throwing his nerf ball. Sadly we were nearing the end of the trip, literally hours to go, and had i packed? Nah course not. Tantine was pacing anxiously but as i write this its half seven and i’m all packed (kinda)
About to have some toast and hopefully blag a lift off Phil to the airport. Have managed to find about $40AUD in coins, so not bad going, may not take it home though!!!
The next installment may be from 35000 feet, although at 10 bucks a second i may just wait until i get to either Doha or Reigate. I may even have time for a reflection! Until then G’day.
