A visit to the Dingdong mountains. The Dangdangs are located somewhere kind of East of Melbourne and seems to be semi mountainous. We had no sat nav, just a rough idea of where to go, and we seem to have aced it and got there, with only one minor detour. Phil had given us rough directions so we did have the upper hand.
We lunched in a placed called Sassifras or something like that, small little mountain town with a couple of touristy places, thing we ate in somewhere called the Black Kettle or some form of Kettle. It’s quite impressive really, tall straight eucalyptus’ and millions of tree ferns, obviously lining windy windy roads.
It seems to be something of a more seasonal place, perhaps i say that as the view from the top of Melbourne was somewhat rubbish and the railway would have been nothing today but in high summer would be awesome and rather busy. I can’t really complain, but definitely worth another visit. I have found a presents for the Canon Father now and something little for Jonathan and Charlotte so hopefully that’ll be all my presents done. Most presents are pretty low spec but it is the thought that counts.
We must have got home about half four so a quick cup of tea and a relax. I am in fact writing this at half five so i may leave it now and return to finish before bed.
Phil returned after his massively long haircut and we dined on Spag Boll before nipping next door to have a few evening drinks with the neighbours. It must have been about 10 when we got back so some rather tired children but still they enjoyed themselves. Previously we had been playing with a few of Williams new toys so again he was tired before we left.
