Sunday 27 March
Today we decided to keep the Sabbath Holy, so instead of taking the train into town we drove. The idea was to meet John, John Gibson who was in town from Germany doing a spot of business.
We met at his hotel and headed straight for some Yum Cha i the Chinese Quarter of town. Yum Cha for those that don’t know is pretty much what the heck you want from people who walk around saying ‘You want spare ribs’ etc. Anyway lovely meal, good tea, loads of stuff and kids had fun, good to see John again, keeps reminding me the world’s tiny.
The boys wanted to find a park so that was the important next location, they were happy, we enjoyed the sun. Good to see that in the bushes there was remnants of not only kids having fun but adults enjoying after hours frolics!!
Next stop obviously was (i promised them ice cream) a cafe for a drink, the boys had ice chocolate so sadly counted as their ice cream, they were miffed but there is always next time. We drove home, back to the ranch and had a rather late light supper, was about 10 when we finished, quite relaxing!
