Today was cool, I think i may have soaked Livvy last night whilst so was washing up so the threat of being woken up with water scared me, i was alert from around 7am to 9am once they had gone to school. She said oh i wouldn’t have that would have been mean, so i could have just slept, bloody girls.
Anyway dressed and Mike showed us Anglesea, we went to the golfcourse so I could see wild kangaroos and believe they existed, which i didn’t. Had a quick drink and then lunched in Lorne, a cute little town, about an hour along the Great Ocean Road. We did fish and chips or shark and chips to be correct, they call shark (small shark) flake, it’s very nice.
On from there was a trip via a house Tudor borrowed off and ex colleague and they to the falls to see about 200 steps and a waterfall. Very pretty, quite tiring, but worth it. Got back about 3:30, pretty important that we did as Mike and I had a plan, to soak the girls.
Anyway so back we got, up on the roof and armed ready for the drench the girls on return from school. All went pretty much clockwork bar their late return, so 20 minutes lying on the roof later we had water pistols and buckets everywhere. Now Livvy is the typical younger sister, full of funny stuff and always up for a laugh, whilst Emily is a little more serious (in terms of work) and a little more wise. Livvy after being drenched ran for cover under the porch, course we had locked the door so the bucket from the roof soaked her. Emily on the other hand ran away and stayed pretty much dry or as the Aussie’s say ‘unsaturated’.
We went out for dinner tonight, a local place Tudor knows and it was good, only Livvy came as Emily had piano and Mike had soccer, anyway fun was had and there are some good memories. Back home for a relaxed night, might have watched something on TV, can’t remember!
