We travelled to Ballerat today, it’s pretty much North East of yesterday’s destination and North West of Geelong so not too far. Travel was fine, usual roads, same old 100k limit. There were loads of signs for Koala’s and Kangaroo’s, both of which i don’t think actually exist in the wild, solely in captivity so that’s pretty disappointing.
Ballerat is a more happening town than yesterday’s, with all the usual City/Town kind things. Apparently it hosted some kind of rowing on its’ lake and has a pretty botanical garden we visited. There are many heritage trails one can walk, with many buildings over a 100 years old so fairly old for here!
Dinner was at a thai place, good food, shame about the service. Back to Geelong tomorrow to crash at Tudor and Maria’s, think they don’t mind! It’s great meeting relatives i don’t really know too!!
