Today we had arranged to visit Tudor, Maria and the kids.
We left around 10:30 after all getting ready, i was somewhere in the last to be ready, but we still got there OK. Its about 90 minute drive passing through the North of Melbourne and then heading South towards Geelong. I had heard that it is a Hollywood mansion, which either shouts awful or something very pleasant.
Indeed upon arriving it was a large white house sitting very prominently on the hillside, and it is stunning. It’s large and spacious and very nicely done, with a pool in the back garden. Tudor was instantly recognisable, likewise Maria although I couldn’t remember her as well. The kids are very much grown up, Mike, Emily and Liv are somewhat bigger than when i met them last at either Carys’ wedding or a celebration are The Chase.
It was a lovely lunch, buttered chicken with rice served with salad. The boys were well entertained, firstly by Mike and the PS3 and later by Liv and Emily, more so Michael actually as he danced along to Michael Jackson songs. To be honest giving 2 girls aged 14 and 17 (excuse me if i’m wrong guys) a 5 year old is going to end in them falling in love with such a cute little guy. William on the other hand has really worked out what he wants and at one point when i told him what to do on a game he said “This is my life Dan”. We were all taken aback but too damn right William, they are two cracking kids and i’ll definitely miss them when we return.
Anyway that’s not half the day, Mike and I went in the pool with Michael and Will. We had a little Mike Jones dilemna, two Mike Jones’, so the simple solution was to use big and small, problem solved. So Will and Little Mike were slowly stepping into the pool with Liv sitting fully clothed watching, I so wanted to throw her in but didn’t. Instead i pushed Michael in, he was cool about it but pissed off so he and his brother rightly ganged up on me and I fell in! A scowl soon returned to a smile and a laugh.
After endless soakings etc we eventually got out, dried off and went in. Later the boys wanted another swim and both girls came up to the pool, sadly for Liv who had just showered after being soaked early was thrown in. I understand as I’m also the youngest and it’s tough being picked upon. Anyway she dried off, had another shower and then got dressed again before the boys left with Phil and Suzie.
After the had gone we hatched an evil plan, Liv to go in the pool, Emily to pretend to go in, ie carry her screaming with Liv’s help then chuck Liv in! Brilliant idea and it worked almost perfectly to be honest. Ironically Liv in helping get Emily in fell in herself, awfully amusing.
Anyway I’m sure there was much more in the way of entertaining pool related fun, but that’s all i can remember. We pretty much chilled out then, and I went back to being a kid, did some homework, obtained some music, and then watched southpark with Mike once the girls went to bed. I didn’t know they still made Southpark, but clearly they do.
Tudor and Maria have made us so welcome, might just stay a few weeks longer (sorry Laura not rubbing it in)
